Incoming links from websites and blogs mean that more visitors will be coming to your website. These links (with the exception of Wikipedia) also raise your ranking in search engines. Thus, you will get more visits through the links as well as from search engines. A double benefit!
Even if you are already listed on others’ websites, do you know if your link leads to your correct web address? It might need to be updated.
