How do your online efforts rate in attracting vocations?
An effective internet outreach is needed to attract good candidates. How do you measure up against these basic steps?
Just about everyone knows that Pope Benedict has a YouTube channel. But did you know that candidates to your community can be found through online forums, newsletters, and website blogs?
We at Vocation Promotion have put together a short questionnaire that tests how well your community utilizes the internet in finding good candidates. Here are some of its questions:
1. Do you have a way to keep track of, and communicate, with candidates?
2. Do you have a contact form on your website that is clearly intended for
candidates?
3. Do you use social media, such as Facebook, Twitter, and Catholic Answers
Forum?
For the rest of the questions, take the survey on this website, at “Vocation Promotion Grade.”

wonder at the possibilities offered by these new media….”— Pope Benedict XVI, Message for World Day of Communications, Jan. 24, 2011
