I’ve been struggling with making a good ad for one of our communities, the Society of Our Mother of Peace in High Ridge, MO. They are a unique community of men and women who live a deeply contemplative life, yet have an apostolic outreach as well.
When I made an ad featuring the men, it had two images – one of a man and one of a woman praying in solitude. It was very well received. And then for the women, I featured smiling sisters facing the camera. But it did not work so well.
So I figured that I had to highlight the unique contemplative aspect of this community in the ad’s image. I came up with the ad below of two images of women in private prayer. I worked with several background colors until I came up with the brown that you see.
